China: Overall premium growth slows in 2018 on decline in life sales

China's insurers saw their insurance premium income rise by a more sedate pace of 3.92% to CNY3.80trn ($566bn) last year, compared to fast growth of 18.2% to CNY3.66trn in 2017, according to data released by the CBIRC.
